A property-specific comparison will show how the proposed service fee and selling prices affect gross contribution and gross margin. Any revenue change reflects the proposed selling price entered above. Final program cost, savings and margin improvement are confirmed through a property-specific Site Assessment.

Commercial methodology

How the current spend, volume and revenue estimate is calculated

The calculator summarises current bottled-water spend, operating volumes and revenue opportunity using information entered by the visitor. A property-specific AYR commercial comparison is provided only after a Site Assessment.

Calculation method

  1. Current bottled-water cost is calculated from bottles used per day, operating days, purchase cost per bottle and the selected analysis period.
  2. Annual operating volume is calculated from bottles used, bottle size and operating days.
  3. Still and sparkling volumes follow the selected percentage split, which always totals 100%.
  4. Restaurant revenue outputs show the current bottled model and on-site revenue potential using the selling prices entered. Current gross contribution and gross margin use the customer-entered purchase cost; property-specific AYR program costs are confirmed after assessment. These outputs are hidden when water is marked as complimentary.
  5. Hotel room demand is derived from occupied rooms and bottles placed per room, unless the visitor enters a property-wide daily total.

Key assumptions and limitations

  • Usage, purchasing cost, selling price, operating days and water mix are visitor-entered assumptions and should be replaced with current property data.
  • Still and sparkling operating volumes use the selected split and always total 100%.
  • Figures exclude VAT unless VAT-inclusive values are entered.
  • The public calculator does not estimate AYR program costs or savings. Those figures are confirmed only through a property-specific Site Assessment and written proposal.
  • Actual performance and system requirements depend on incoming water, production and service windows, outlet locations, peak demand, chilling and carbonation requirements, installation conditions and operating procedures.
  • The result is indicative. It is not a quotation, guaranteed saving, financial advice or a complete lifecycle-cost assessment.

From estimate to an AYR Water proposal

The calculator introduces the commercial opportunity. AYR Water then validates the assumptions and defines a site-specific solution through the existing Site Assessment process.

  1. Validate the operation.
Review current bottled-water volumes and costs, water applications, source-water conditions, outlet locations and service requirements.
  2. Define the configuration.
Confirm treatment, chilling, carbonation, dispensing, reusable bottles, installation, commissioning, maintenance and support requirements.
  3. Issue the proposal.
Set out the recommended system scope, commercial terms, bottle requirements, implementation responsibilities and the assumptions used for the property-specific business case.

Important: Final economics are confirmed only after the Site Assessment and written proposal. The proposal—not the online estimate—defines the equipment, service scope, installation requirements, pricing and commercial terms.
