Certified equipment

Standards behind AYR systems

AYR combines professional European dispensing equipment with certified filtration technologies and site-specific verification. Certification always applies to the identified manufacturer, product, component or performance claim—not automatically to an entire installation.

Understanding certification

What the NSF standards mean

NSF certification is not one universal water-quality badge. Each standard addresses a different equipment, material or treatment function.

NSF/ANSI 18Sanitation requirements for manual food and beverage dispensing equipment.
NSF/ANSI 42Aesthetic effects including chlorine, taste, odour and particulates for certified treatment systems.
NSF/ANSI 53Specific health-related contaminant-reduction claims.
NSF/ANSI 55Ultraviolet microbiological water-treatment systems.
NSF/ANSI 58Reverse-osmosis drinking-water treatment systems.
NSF/ANSI/CAN 61Health-effects requirements for drinking-water system components and materials.
NSF/ANSI/CAN 372Lead-content requirements for drinking-water system components.

The number is not a quality ranking. Each standard addresses a different function, material, treatment process or performance claim.

Treatment design

Designed around the incoming water

Certification alone does not determine whether a treatment system is appropriate for a property. AYR assesses source water, intended consumption, capacity, equipment protection and the operating environment before defining the treatment configuration.

Independent verification

Water testing at property level

A certified machine or filter does not by itself demonstrate the quality of water served at a hotel or restaurant. AYR combines equipment selection with property-level water analysis and verification through appropriately accredited independent laboratories according to location, analytical scope and accreditation availability.

Local compliance

International technology. Local framework.

AYR systems operate in Indonesia and are managed with reference to applicable Indonesian drinking-water and health requirements. International certifications provide evidence about defined equipment, components, materials or treatment performance; they do not replace local regulatory requirements.

Certification transparency

Every claim should be traceable

AYR distinguishes manufacturer certification, product certification, component certification, treatment-performance certification, water-quality testing and regulatory compliance. These terms are not interchangeable.

Planning a hospitality water programme?

Start with the property itself. AYR assesses incoming water, operational requirements, expected volume, service points and available infrastructure before recommending the appropriate treatment and dispensing configuration.

Certification note: Certifications and approvals vary by manufacturer, product, model, configuration, market and production version. References on this page describe certifications applicable to identified manufacturers, products or components and should not be interpreted as certification of every AYR Water system or installation. Current certification status and exact scope should be confirmed against applicable manufacturer documentation and official certification-body listings. *Applicable to selected models/configurations.

Frequently asked questions

What does NSF certification mean for an AYR Water system?

NSF certification applies to the specific equipment, component, material or treatment-performance claim identified in the relevant certification listing. It should not be interpreted as certification of an entire AYR installation unless that complete system is specifically listed.

Is every AYR Water installation NSF certified?

No. AYR combines equipment and components selected for each property’s water conditions and operating requirements. Applicable certifications vary by manufacturer, model, component, configuration and market.

What is the difference between NSF, WRAS and ISO?

They address different scopes. NSF standards can cover dispensing sanitation, drinking-water-contact materials and treatment performance. WRAS relates to compliance of applicable water fittings and materials with UK water regulations. ISO management-system certification concerns an organisation’s management processes and is not the same as certification of drinking-water quality.

Does AYR test the finished drinking water?

Where included in the agreed programme, AYR uses property-level sampling and appropriately accredited independent laboratories to verify incoming and/or treated water. A laboratory result represents the sample, location and conditions at the time of testing.

Does every property require reverse osmosis?

No. Treatment is designed around the incoming water and the required outcome. Depending on the site, the treatment train may use sediment filtration, activated carbon, fine filtration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis, ultraviolet treatment or an appropriate combination.

How does AYR address Indonesian drinking-water requirements?

AYR operates within the applicable Indonesian drinking-water and health framework. International equipment and component certifications provide supporting technical evidence but do not replace applicable Indonesian requirements or property-level water verification.

Can our engineering or procurement team review certification documents?

Yes. Applicable manufacturer documentation, product specifications and available certification information can be provided during technical review, subject to the specific equipment and components proposed for the property.
